Projects will be finished today.

From Scott Reed

Today is the last day of work. The waking up was as hard as ever. The wake up call started with the usual songs, but was concluded with the "beep" of an alarm clock. The last day of work started at eight five. Mr. Bixler's crew came at eight twenty. We worked very hard, taking less breaks. We started to paint right away. Most everyone worked on the front porch first. Next was the side-back porch, followed by the back porch. We also added skirting to the back side. At eleven thirty we decided to have lunch, but in order to have it we needed to clean the brushes and rollers. Will and I were given this task. We could eat then at noon. After lunch we had our devotion. It was about symbols. Carla made a good point that we need to make new biblical symbols, because they were made for the times in which they were written. We continued our work after the devotion. I had the special job of cleaning the wood chips from around the house. We arrived back at the school at three thirty. The adults had us pack tonight, so that the cargo van could take Allison Reimer to the airport in the morning. In our day pack we needed two changes of clothing, swimsuit, and towel. Tomorrow we are going to an aquatic center, and a five-star hotel. Today the first program was with our crews. During the program was the Resident slide show. Each crew was to stand silently when their resident was projected on the screen. After we met in a group with our crews. Then the organizers picked up the "affirming nail." We had to say something that you had noticed about the person or something you appreciated. We ended with a prayer. Later Dr. Bixler taught me to send photos on photoloft. The next program was at ten thirty. As we walked into the gym we received an evaluation form, five meaning great, one meaning poor. It did not take me much time to complete this. The camp also got a postcard, to be used during the program. The program started with the slide show. Next was two of the praise and worship songs. Then we filled out the postcard, it asked how we would not be the same and what we would do to serve others. We then addressed it to ourselves and gave it to Mrs. Bixler, she was instructed to mail them to us in thirty days. The closing slide show was a selection from all of the pictures, for the special last show. Following this slide show Sue had us participate in a "holy hug." First the staff would stand someone up and either hug them of shake their hand, the hugged were to pass it on. This concluded our camp stay.

Thursday night together.

Dr. and Mrs. Bixler are still smiling!
Thank you, God, for the Bixlers!

With walkie talkies in hand
we are ready to head home.

Saying good-bye to new friends.

(Editor's note: I have been asked if I "touched up" Scott's stories.
The answer is NO.
Hasn't he done a GREAT job of letting us have an idea of what the week has
been like for our missionaries?)
THANK YOU SCOTT!

Les heard from Allison, she is sad the week is almost over.

Mary Jean heard from Ty, his group's project is done. They will be helping
another group finish today.

Janet called Al and said things are going well. She also said that last night's program was very emotional. It was a very positive experience.
